簡介 Description
多年生草本，分布於臺灣中低海拔山區林下及路邊，高達1.5公尺，是臺灣最大的秋海棠。單葉互生，長歪橢圓形，葉緣疏鋸齒緣，兩面光滑，葉背暗灰色。花單性，簇生或聚繖花序，4枚白色花被片。果實為扁球形漿果，是臺灣唯一漿果的秋海棠。
Perennial herbaceous plant, distributed in the forests and on roadsides of middle and low altitude mountainous areas in Taiwan, up to 1.5 meters tall. It is Taiwan’s largest begonia species in size. Long crooked elliptic simple leaves are alternately arranged, with sparsely toothed leaf margins, smooth on both leaf surfaces, dark grey on the back of the leaves. It produces unisexual flowers, in clusters or in cymes, with 4 white perianth lobes, and oblate berries. It is the only species in Taiwan bears berries.
