簡介 Description
大型藤本，莖幹密被黃褐色長銳刺，具明顯莖節，互生葉為一回羽狀複葉，小葉披針形。花為黃綠色單性花，橢圓形漿果味酸可食。不論對漢人或原住民都是重要的民族植物，除了編成各種藤編製品，藤心、果實也都可食，可謂一身是寶。
Single-stemmed climbing palms. The segmented-stem is densely covered with yellow-brown long sharp thorns. The alternate leaves are unipinnate with very frequently spiny leaflets. The yellowish green flowers are unisexual. The sour oval-shaped scaly fruits are edible. The mature stems can be woven into various rattan products, their young shoots from the base, rich in starch, can be consumed after cooking. The plant is ethnobotanically useful to both non-indigenous and indigenous people.
